My First Experiences in the Warrior Forum

MY STORY SO FAR

My first few visits to the Warrior Forum. How have I benefitted?

1. Free Information For Me

I was researching information about an autoresponder service, so I trolled over to the Warrior Forum. Sure enough there were a couple of conversations in progress, one of them quite heated. Fortunately, I found the information I need.

thanked the two members who helped, and left the thread. (If you join, use the Thanks Button regularly. It’s a simple way to show your appreciation, and is recorded in your profile too).

As I was there, I paid a visit to the Main Internet Marketing Discussion Forum to see what was happening.

2. Helping Someone Else

I happened across a thread “can I start an online business with no money to invest”, or something like that. As this is subject close to my heart I investigated further, joining in the conversation. There were already quite a few responses; some useful, some pretty obtuse. The originator was getting good helpful information, but it was in dribs and drabs, and some replies didn’t answer the question at all.

As my enthusiasm increased, I found myself drafting what I hoped was a useful reply. Eventually I ended up with a long post of what I believe to be a helpful and constructive guide. I posted the reply, and as it was now 3.00am, I went to bed.

Wow!

Next day, my email box had over 20 additional responses to the thread, many of them commenting on my own post, and some more posts related to my original enquiry.

It was now dawning on me just how helpful, and powerful the Warrior Forum is.

Without any form of payment, I had accessed the information I needed, and had been able to help another Warrior free.

Just The Beginning

I am now a regular visitor to the Forum, or WF as it’s referred to. In a very short time:

  • I have found many answers to subjects I needed to know, WITHOUT HAVING TO BUY A COURSE;
  • I have been able to help and advise some folks with their problems;
  • I have started to build some new relationships, both with newbies and experienced Warriors

But There’s More

When you first join the Forum, you are limited in what you are able to do until you’ve proved you are an active participant (which is very easy). But once you have been .active’ for a while, more opportunities open up for you:

  • You can Personal Message other Warriors, who, if they’re online, are able to respond immediately;
  • You can add links to your Signature File, putting your marketing or site links on every post

I already know that a number of Warriors have visited my sites directly form WF, and the figure appears to be growing daily. So being an active member can contribute to Traffic Generation, one of the most difficult elements to crack in this business.

So simply by joining the Warrior Forum, you can benefit in so many ways – as long as you participate, which as I’ve said before, is very easy, even if you’re a newbie. Instead of buying another cure all product to find out what you need, Save Your Money, and visit the Warriors. They (we) love to help (and show off our knowlege too). In case you’re wondering, I DO NOT GET ANY FORM OF AFFILIATE COMMISSION bt recommending the WF. I simply want to help.

I have another very short and quick post coming up which is sensational, and can save all of us a lot of money. It’s for a resource which every marketer needs. But it’s only available to Warriors at the moment. You will want to see this. I’m even having to update old posts to make room for it. There will be a link here as soon as the post is published.

What Next?

I’ve decide it’s about time I joined the War Room. I’m convinced about the value of the WF, so the many benefits of the War Room are well woth the one time fee of $37 (about £22.00), and it’s tax deductable (well it is in the UK any way). I will publish my findings about the War Room a bit later on, when I’ve got my feet under the table.

There are so many benefits to joining the Warrior Forum, I could list them all day. Instead, take a look for yourself. You will be doing yourself a great favour.

STOP PRESS - STOP PRESS -STOP PRESS -STOP PRESS

I have just made three sales to a membership site I recommend on one of my other blogs.

Both of the buyers came to me via the Warrior Forum

(and that site doesn’t even have an optin or squeeze)

    Hey Alan,

Great review of the WF and good to see your gaining value from it, although I had lurked about there for many months before being active :)

Stay in touch and we’ll need to connect!

    Hi Alan

Thanks for visiting my blog. I have known about the Warrior Forum for a really long time and dabbled in and out without really getting involved.

Now I’ve got my own blog going again I thought that it was time to also get going on WF – seems to have worked already!

I love meeting and interacting with new people so I’ll be back!

    Hilary

    Hi William
Lurkings OK. I did it for ages. But now I’m getting involved, it’s really entretaining, as well as useful.
    Be the first to know.
    I’ve joined the War Room!
    Cheers

Hi Hilary, and thanks for visiting.
The WF is a great place to meet new people, and an even better place to learn.
Update: I’ve joined The War Room!
£23.00 for lifetime. It’ll probably outlive me. :)
    Keep in touch Alan

    Hi Alan

I’m a member of the Warrior forum but admit that I don’t go and participate in their because I found it a bit intimidating so I went to other forums that I felt more comfortable with.

After reading your post you’ve convinced me to give it another try so maybe I’ll see you in there.

    Take care

    Hi Dawn, thanks for visiting
I’m getting so much from the forum, even I’m surprised.
I’ve probably been spending too much time there recently, but I now have a folder full of useful info which I really needed.
I don’t use a pseudonym there. Look for Alan Ashwood, and you”ll see ny ugly mug.
    Cheers

    Hey Alan,

I’m thrilled to hear that things are going well for you over there. My experience was not a pleasant one.

I admit I was green, new and oh so naive with how things were properly done online when I first visited. No, I wasn’t one of those spammers but I would try to answer questions even though I didn’t know a whole lot. You know, we were encouraged to participate in conversations and be helpful right. Man I would get so shot down, was even called names a few times. They made it perfectly clear that I didn’t know what I was talking about so after a few times of that, I decided the WP was not the place for me. I’ve never been back and that’s probably been about three years ago, maybe a little more. It just put a very bad taste in my mouth and I didn’t understand how people could be so cruel. If I was answering things incorrectly or not giving the right information, they should have addressed me in that manner. It just didn’t happen for me that way.

But, I enjoyed hearing how you are having some good success and I hope that the people are nicer over there these days. I know you get some jerks in every crowd but I guess my time there, I met every single one of them.

    Thanks Alan…

    Adrienne

Hi Adrienne and thanks for popping over again
I understand what you’re saying about idiots and jerks. I’ve seen quite a few in my time in the WF. However, there is a pretty good system in place now, and you can flag up any inappropriate and abusive behaviour – which I do. I’ve had couple of moronic comments myself, but generally they get shot down by other contributors, making them look like the fools they are.
I see it as all part of the fun. Sometimes I take them on, head on. But only when I know I’m right.
I will bow to experience and knowledge though, every time. There is a lot to be gained by taking part, and learning form the clever folks there.
In my opinion, the Forum would benefit from somebody like yourself taking part. You have a lot of experience and knowledge to share.
Oh yes, I finally joined the War Room, and I’m already glad I did.
    Best wishes
    Alan

  9. Adrienne on June 22nd, 2011 4:34 pm

Thank you Alan for sharing that. I know my experience was years ago and I was just learning but I was there to learn and grow. I’m glad they have that in place but it makes me sad that the jerks still lurk around. I guess they have nothing better to do. I’ve told myself from time to time I should pop back in so maybe upon your recommendation I just might do that now. Thanks for sharing and glad you are enjoying the benefits of the War Room. Can’t wait to hear more updates on your experience there.

    Have a wonderful day!

    Adrienne

  10. Alan on June 22nd, 2011 6:14 pm

C’mon Adrienne, I’ll keep the big bad bullies away. Everyone knows that bullies are cowards anyway.
Besides, I’m a second Dan Black Belt in Origami, so if anyone gives you trouble, I’ll make a paper boat out of them.

One feature (I wrote “thing” at first) I’ve found pleasantly personal and useful, is the Private Message facility. It allows you to ‘live’ engage with a Warrior, without going through the forum directly.
The War Room is proving a worthwhile investment. Although it operates quite differently from the main forum, there are some excellent opportunities there, as long as you’re careful, and selective (as usual).
I’ll be posting about it when I’ve had some more experience.

If I’d known I was going to get this old, I’d have taken better care of myself.

    Beware the Warrior Forum!

There is SO much good info in there, it’s real tempting to spend all your time there instead of making money! THE WF IS ADDICTIVE!

And congrats on joining the War Room, Alan – You won’t regret it! Best money I’ve spent on IM

  14. Alan on June 30th, 2011 12:03 am

    Hi Joe
You’re dead right there, I do spend too much time in there sometimes. I love the debate and the knowledge sharing, including the fun stuff.
It’s addictive, but it’s great feeling when you can help someone. We acan all empathise when you see newbies saying, “lost; infomation overload; too many products etc.”.
Most of us have been there.
As for the War Room, I’m holding a reserved verdict for now. I did find a couple of missing pieces I needes, but it also smacks of a huge market place, full of dealers trying to get more money out of you. I have a total ban on buying WSOs, like most products.
Thanks for visitng, and your comments.
    Cheers
    Alan

  15. WhoWantsCoach on July 23rd, 2011 4:53 am

Wow what a well rounded post and comments as well. Yes so true it is not a utopian perfect rainbow island over there but if we call ourselves in the marketing game then we have to put on our pads and dive in.

Yes there are times when I almost got pulled down into a heated celebrity death match over words but I always take the high road. Someone commented above that other posters may even defend you when someone trys to start some drama.

All in all you will learn from the warrior forum and if you implement what you learn you will make money. That is good enough for me.

Staying focus will cure alot of endless buying and jumping from method to method and not mastering any.

Oh yea…making great friends and possible joint venture partnerships in the future is a huge bonus.

  16. Alan on August 12th, 2011 11:29 am

Like the analogy. I’ve become a bit of a Warrior fanatic, probably too much. But there are some gems to be found frequently, and a lot of useful information. Thanks for your comment.

    Hi Adrienne

Update for Warrior Forum, All good at the moment. I’ve made quite a few posts (about 5000 at this point), and have hed some great traffic from my efforts. I’ve also met some brilliant (and funny) paople in the Forum. I would still recommend it, as long as you stick to the rules. Thanks for visiting.

  18. Alan on January 27th, 2012 3:26 pm

Hi Dawn, still acyively participating in the Forum, and I have had some successes directly from this.
I now limit my visits to once or twice a week now though.

  19. Alan on January 27th, 2012 3:28 pm

    Hi Hilary
I too have been quiet in the blog, but still active IN WF, as it keeps me in touch with a lot of experts.
    Thanks for dropping by.
